Match day: how to back your club

When your real club plays a real match, match day starts in the game. Fans of both teams meet in one battle: they chant, hang banners, build tifos, fight and decide whose stand is stronger. It is the main event of Terrace Wars.

The match page and phases

Every match has its page: the clubs, kick-off time, a countdown and “Fan power” — each stand’s share of the points. The strip at the bottom shows the phases: announced, preparation, pre-match, live, result.

Preparation opens 6 hours before kick-off, pre-match 2 hours before. During the match all points count ×1.5, at half-time ×1.25. After a goal the scoring club has 5 minutes of “Momentum” (+10% points), the other one gets “Rally”.

What you can do, and when

The “Match event” block has a cheat sheet of the phases with the current one highlighted. If you picked your club very recently, it also says when you can join: match day is open to fans who picked the club at least 3 days ago and more than a day before the match. You can unlock it at once with 3,000 coins to the club fund.

Back your club: a fan’s actions

All your own actions are in the “Back your club” block. Each brings points to your stand:

  • Chant — 5 energy, 20-second cooldown. Simple and frequent.
  • Banner — coins (60 + 5 per level), a big contribution. Hang your own approved design for +10% points.
  • Tifo — uses a tifo kit, a huge contribution.
  • Fight a rival fan — 10 energy, a 1v1 fight.
  • 3v3 — 15 energy: you and two fans of your club against three.
  • 10v10 stand battle — 15 energy, the biggest single contribution.
  • Call out the rivals — a live duel with a player of the other stand, double points.

Club projects

Two shared club projects: “Tifo Project” and “Supply Drive”. Fans hand in materials — fabric, paint, thread, meat, flour, tea, hot dogs. The goal depends on how many active fans the club has. Each stage — 25, 50, 75 and 100% — gives every fan of the club a bonus for this match: +5% to chants and banners or +5% to fight points.

Scout the Opposition

A quiz about clubs, stadiums, leagues and past matches. Two rounds of 5 questions with 20 seconds each: the first round before kick-off, the second at half-time with points ×1.25. The faster the right answer, the more points.

Prediction and “Who scores”

The score prediction opens a day before the match. The exact score is 50 match tokens, the right outcome 15. It is a game, not a bet: no money is needed or won. Next to it is “Who scores”: guess a player who scores at least once for +20 tokens and +5 reputation.

The 10v10 stand battle

Home fans against away fans, 10 a side and up to 5 on the bench. You sign up in the lobby and pick a line — front, mid or back; empty places are filled by bot fans of your club. Every 3 rounds the captain gives an order: push, hold, rotate, rally or focus.

The battle opens 2 hours before kick-off. For the rest of match day the arena stand battle pairs you with fans of exactly the club you play.

The club score and rewards

A stand’s score has three parts: 50% quality (how well its fans played), 35% objectives (points per fan, capped so that a big club does not win by numbers) and 15% turnout. 15 minutes after the final whistle the result is in: the winning stand gets more coins, XP and tokens, the top three fans extra tokens. The losers get 70% of the participation reward.

After the result the match shop opens for 48 hours with souvenirs; winners get 20% off.

The club fund

Early-access donations collect in the club fund. At the end of the month the fund is shared by the club’s 10 most active fans by match-day points: 25, 18, 14, 11, 9, 7, 6, 4, 3 and 3%.
